National Center on Accessible Digital Education Materials & Instruction (NCADEMI)

NCADEMI (pronounced “N-cademy”) is a US Department of Education funded center that supports state and local educational agencies in delivering barrier-free digital materials that support learning for students with disabilities from preschool through graduation.

About NCADEMI

NCADEMI Logo

Students with disabilities have a right to digital educational materials and instruction that are usable and free of barriers. State and local educational agencies are required to provide these resources in a timely manner. NCADEMI helps states, school districts, educators, families, and others improve the quality, availability, and timely delivery of digital educational materials and instruction that meet the needs of all learners, from preschool through high school.

Launched in October 2024, NCADEMI is federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) to offer training, coaching, policy briefs, practice guides, edtech product accessibility information, micro-credentials, and much more. Our services and resources are based on five innovations that guide effective implementation of barrier-free digital educational materials and instruction for students with disabilities.
