Training and Resources for LEA Special Education Leaders

Let TAESE staff provide orientation and training for your Local Education Agency (LEA) Special Education Director and special education staff.

What We Offer

TAESE staff have extensive experience in LEA-level special education leadership. We offer training designed to help your leaders and staff build and maintain effective special education systems.

Director Resource Guide

TAESE has developed the LEA Director Resource Guide: Understanding Special Education General Supervision. This guide walks LEA Directors through the general supervision requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and offers insights into the leadership and management skills essential for running effective special education programs.

In addition to the guide, TAESE provides training on all topics covered, tailored to your LEA’s needs.

Customized Professional Development

TAESE offers professional development customized to your LEA’s specific needs. Whether you’re looking for mentoring for your leadership team or targeted support for special education teachers, general education teachers, paraprofessionals, or school administrators, we can help.

We provide training for small teams, district-wide sessions, or large conferences—whatever best supports your goals.

Invest in Your LEA’s Future

Your LEA deserves expert support. Let’s collaborate to strengthen your special education programs.
