Ongoing Collaboration Events
We know that strong relationships are built through consistent, meaningful engagement. To support this, we offer ongoing opportunities for SEA staff to connect, collaborate, and grow together:
Monthly State Special Education Director Conference Calls
These virtual meetings, held on the third Friday of each month, provide a space for State Directors to share insights, exchange ideas, and network around key issues in special education general supervision. TAESE facilitates each session and provides a written summary for participants. For more information on the monthly director calls, contact
Annual New SEA Staff Cohort Trainings
Every summer, TAESE hosts an eight-week training and networking series for new SEA staff. Weekly sessions are held on Tuesdays and include expert-led training and peer networking. After the series, monthly check-ins continue for three months, offering mentoring and Q&A with content experts. For more information on the SEA cohort trainings, contact
